ニュー・アルバム『Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino』に収録の一曲で、タイトルの意味は月に存在する屋上にタコス料理屋がある架空のホテル。
アレックスはアルバムを制作するにあたって、ドイツのSF映画『あやつり糸の世界』からインスピレーションを受けたと語っていて、『あやつり糸の世界』は仮想世界を作り出して未来予測をする研究所を舞台とした映画で、『Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino』はSF要素のある歌詞が多くなっています。
