比喩的な表現が多い難しい歌詞で、現地の人でも歌詞の真実は理解できないようです。そんな曲を日本に住む日本人が理解できるはずもなく、個人的な解釈で訳そうかと思っていたところWikipediaを発見！

で、そのWikipediaによると、This Ain't A Scene（これはシーンなんかじゃない）のシーンは”エモ・シーン”についてで、お金と名声のためだけに音楽をつくるアーティストに向けた歌とのこと。さらに世の中にはラジオで流れてるビッグ・ヒット曲以上に正しいメッセージを持つ曲があるとも語っているので、「言葉という武器 = くだらないメッセージを持つ曲」という解釈をしました。まとめると、「主役なんだから正しいものを世の中に送り出せ！」といった感じでしょうか。
