なかなかの重い歌詞。ギリシアの哲学者プラトンにインスパイアされた歌詞とのこと。（詳細はWikipediaを参照下さい） 『The Cave』 ・ほら穴，洞窟

個人的解釈としては・・

「生きて行くための収穫が足りず、貧困にあえぎ、人殺しなど犯罪に手を染めてしまったという過ちと恐怖に耐え切れなくなり、妻子を残して人生を後にする決意をした男。この痛みから学び、生まれ変わることを夢見て」

・・といった感じです。

僕と君が出てきますが、生まれ変わることを夢見ているため、一つの生命に2人の人格が存在すると考え、同一人物ととらえました。
