この曲はデビュー前に書かれた曲で、夢を描いて都会（海中の魚、湿った世界、ゾンビ、暗い世界）に出るも、都会の現実に馴染むのに苦労（バンド=ドラムのビート、太陽光）して逃げ出したくなるといった感じの曲だと思います。

その現実逃避の手段（治療の手段）が”咳止めシロップ（薬物依存）”なのですが、その結果自殺も頭を駆け巡るといった解釈もあるみたいです（ドラマ『グリー』で自殺シーンの挿入歌に使用されるもバンドは満足した様子＊ソース）。
