「スターメーカー」は訳しませんでしたが、英国の作家オラフ・ステープルドンの書いた長編ＳＦのタイトルです。
あらすじしか見ていませんが、現実世界に苦しみを感じ→宇宙に旅立ち（連れ去られ）→元の体に戻れなくなる。
といった流れは、この歌詞と流れが一緒！
恐らく、この小説からインスピレーションを受けたのかなぁと思い、「スターメーカー」のまんまにしました。
「ドリームメーカー」を訳さなかったのは、直訳の「夢を作る人」より、響きが素敵だと思っただけです(￣▽￣)
「かつてナイル川は東から西へ流れていました」は、エジプトではナイル川を東から西へ渡って「あの世」に行くと言われていることから、主人公の死を意味しているのだと思います。
「悩みから現実逃避するな。君の心次第でなんとでもなる」といった感じかなぁ。
